A LAYMAN'S PERSPECTIVE…Legionnaires`DiseaseWhat the Legionella Book of the 5th International Conference on Legionella missed
27th to the 29th September 2000
Who should be responsible for Legionnaires` Disease
NOT ME I AM THE BUILDING OWNER..
NOT ME I AM THE WATER
TREATMENT COMPANY, I DO WHAT I AM TOLD…
NOT ME I AM THE PERSON THAT
DIED….
WHO THEN???????????????????????
I admire all the intricate and clever work you scientists
do but the answer to seriously reducing Legionnaires` Disease are not to
be achieved at conferences like this
There are simple engineering answers to the problem,
but without dedicated Co-operation, nothing will happen except people will
die.
Why is there still significant short falls in the
knowledge base of both the medical profession and the engineering profession
regarding this organism and its control
Why is there such as lack of resources provided for
the prevention of Legionnaires` Disease in many hospitals and institutions
around the world.
If you are interested in practically reducing this
pestilence add your voice to mine to make the legislators in every country
make strong rules and regulations.
Most victims express the view that no one cares and
that no two experts agree on what to do
Lets all work together.
The only disease without a support group..
***** An unknown disease really
Don’t let Legionnaires` Disease be swept under the
carpet.
Treatment and drug therapies used are improving significantly
are detection and diagnosis (Great) and outbreaks get bigger
Why do building owners seem to avoid their responsibilities
when it comes to Legionella
