Legionella: 30 Years On and Still Learning
An international conference organised by:
- The Royal Society of Chemistry;
- The Society of Chemical Industry;
- Water Management Society.
The conference aims to attract an audience drawn from legionella risk Statutory Duty holders and Responsible Persons across all industries as well as system designers, manufacturers and the service providers involved in legionella control systems...

Topical, original and thought-provoking papers will be presented by an eminent team of UK and overseas speakers. It is expected that the programme will attract a significant non-UK attendance.
The platform programme will cover:
- outbreak incidents (both in the UK and abroad) and the lessons to learn from these;
- a comparative overview of legislation;
- risk assessment issues;
- legionella control strategies;
- epidemiology and clinical control;
- analysis, testing and interpretation of results;
- non-standard (unusual) systems found to be at risk;
- research and future developments.
Interactive parallel workshop sessions are to be held on Monday with feedback from these to the delegates on Tuesday.
A supporting Trade Exhibition is planned.
