A very nice kit of one of Kow's classic Ma.K designs, the AFS Archelon. This suit was used as a test bed by the Mercenary research institute, SPAD Tech, to validate experimental indirect vision systems being developed for the new Super Armoured Fighting Suits or S.A.F.S and to test new combat systems. Only three suits were produced, numbered 12, 13 and 14 respectively. The suits were eventually used in Mercenary propaganda films to boost flagging moral.
The kit contains a Wave AFS MKII kit plus the resin pieces by Modlekasten needed to turn the MKII into an Archelon. The Wave kit is flawless with no flash or dimples present. Likewise, the ModelKasten resin casting on all pieces is superb.
A pricey kit given the conversion is relatively straight forward if you were to undertake it yourself, however, you miss out on the packaging and a new set of decals. No camo card is supplied which spoils the kit slightly. Well worth getting to complete your range of AFS suits.
