Utilising Nittos old SAFS Fireball sprues combined with two new sprues from WAVE comes the much anticipated SAFS Fireball SG release. WAVE have departed from Nittos old split down the center suit halves. The SG's body comes in three pieces, split vertically down the sides to form a single front piece with the rear half split again vertically. While this helps hide what would have been a split down the front on the old Nitto kits, the seam running down the two rear halves passes through some minor panel lines which will need to be rescribed when the two rear halves are glued. Otherwise moulding on the old and new parts is crisp (there was some very minor flash on several of the Nitto Fireball parts although nothing really to complain about given the age of the moulds).
The new decals look very good and comprehensive. WAVE give you the big skull pattern as a decal for the hatch saving the hassel of recreating it with stencils.
A new camo card is also supplied.
One bonus of WAVE reusing Nitto's moulds is that they supply a whole Nitto SAFS Fireball kit with theirs so there are plenty of parts left over for future projects.
