Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a non-rail friend, and regretfully a retired wooden railway character (2003-2005). She is a vintage Sentinal Lorry. Sentinal Waggon Works, was a British company that manufactured distinctively designed steam powered lorries, locomotives, and later diesel powered vehicles. Elizabeth has the classic lines of the Sentinal range, with her pointed cabin windows capturing the elegance of days gone by.

Being a lorry, she believes that the roads are far superior to the rails. When expressing her opinion, she can sometimes be quite rude to the engines. She has the honour of being the first lorry the Fat Controller ever drove. As such, the Fat Controller has an uneasy respect for Elizabeth, and will often tolerate her rudeness. Despite her abrupt nature, Elizabeth regularly assists the other engines when there is some work to be done. She despises laziness, a carry over from the days of her hard working youth.

Technical Stuff:

Not much in this department, other than a button on the cabin roof which releases the spring loaded truck bed to dump the cargo.
