Mini-Telemetry System
The Polvision Mini-Telemetry system has been developed to combine the best features of the On-Screen Display OSD_V6 and the Miniature Logic Controller MLC_V4.
The MLC_V4 is mounted close to the sensors and controllers and provide communication with the host, the OSD_V6, via a two wire, high noise immunity serial communications network, the RS-485. This two-wire communication keeps the number of cables and connectors to a minimum and simplifies installation and overall cost. Further, optical isolation prevents ground loop problems.
The OSD_V6 sends orders to be executed by a card or interrogates cards for required data using the RS-485 link, processes information to be overlayed on live video signal from a camera (or internally generated colour background) and transmits selected information out via the RS-232 port. This port can also be used to read information from external devices such as encoders for cable counting or specially modified MLC_V4 card for linear joystick and external On/Off buttons operation.
A battery backed-up real-time clock makes the system suitable for operations that are function of date&time, such as data loggers or off peak start ups.

The OSD accepts a standard PC keyboard for easy operation by wide range of users.
The video output is power fall bypassed ie. should the unit or power fail the input video signal is switched via relay to the output.
The unit can also be programmed with a high/low alarm settings.
