Magnetic Susceptibility Gauge
Magnetic susceptibility is the magnetisation of a particle per unit magnetic field. It is, in other words, a measure of the effect on a particle in a magnetic field. Knowledge of the magnetic susceptibility of mineral sand is very important in the sand processing industry as it provides a measure of the performance of the magnetic separation process.
The POLVISION Magnetic Susceptibility Gauge has been developed to measure the magnetic susceptibility of mineral sands. It has the ability to measure the susceptibility of typical mineral sands down to E-9 level.
Using a sample of sand placed into a coil the MS Gauge measures the change in self-inductance of the coil calculates and displays result using any PC type computer working in Terminal Mode.
